Cal
State University Campuses
In June, 2002, California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) awarded
a $472,000 grant to install Electric City Corporation's EnergySaver
power reduction technology for lighting systems at seven California
State University (CSU) campuses. Electric City partnered with the
CSU Chancellor's office and submitted an application under the innovative
demand reduction program funded by the CPUC. CSU anticipates saving
over two million kWh per year for more than $200,000 in annual savings
from the EnergySavers. The EnergySaver units will control lighting
panels for classrooms, offices, parking lots, gymnasiums and other
locations.
U.S. Postal Service, San Diego, California
Mail Processing and Distribution Center
The San Diego Mail Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC) completed
installations of 11 EnergySaver units in their 1 million sq.
ft. facility in mid April, 2002. The EnergySavers have generated a
20 percent steady state energy savings on the facility's lighting
system, in addition to the savings they were already achieving from
their daylight harvesting.
A&P Stores
On July 30, 2002 Electric City Corporation announced that it has signed
an energy services contract with The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea
Company to move forward with an estimated $12 million EnergySaver
project focused on approximately 540 stores. The stores are primarily
located in New York, New Jersey, and other areas of the East Coast.
Los Angeles County, California
July, 2002. With energy conservation a top priority in government
agencies throughout California, Los Angeles County selected Electric
City Corporation's innovative EnergySaver technology to help
reduce its electrical consumption. EnergySaver units installed in
the LA County's Fleet Repair shop and administrative office building
have reduced the lighting electrical consumption by 20-25 percent
without any visible reduction in lighting levels.
Raley's Stores
Following the installation of a test unit of the EnergySaver
and the Global Commander in Carmichael, CA, in which the results
exceeded the projections and expectations, Raley's has begun the process
of installing units in all their stores (Raley's Superstores, Bel
Air Markets, Food Source, & Nob Hill Foods - total of 132 stores
in California, Nevada, & New Mexico).
Levi Plaza, San Francisco, California
Interland Jalson, management company for the Levi Plaza complex, is
extremely pleased with the results of the installation of EnergySaver
units in their parking garages. The garages are showing approximately
23% reduction in energy. At 24/7 usage, the installed EnergySaverswill
pay for themselves in under three years. This is in addition to the
previous 60% reduction due to retrofitting the fixtures from T12 to
T8 lamps and delamping.References and contacts are available upon
